Marina Stojic is the HR Director for APAC, bringing nearly 15 years human resources experience across the region. Having led across the spectrum of HR functions, she brings clients the assurance of deep technical knowledge reinforced by proven, real-world application.

A true generalist, Marina has led complex employee relations matters and built strong capability across occupational health and safety, recruitment, people analytics, health and wellbeing, and compliance. She partners closely with leadership to deliver strategic outcomes while ensuring operational excellence on the ground.


Known for her approachable style and genuine care for people, Marina creates confidence with clients and employees alike. Her philosophy is simple: organizations thrive when their people do. This focus shapes the way she partners with organizations to build compliant, sustainable, and results-driven workforce solutions across the region.

I see thought leadership as more than sharing ideas, it’s about helping our clients and colleagues anticipate challenges and find practical, sustainable solutions. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to guide businesses through significant change, from navigating new workplace reforms to advising on complex cross-border employment compliance across APAC jurisdictions. My focus is always on blending compliance with culture, ensuring that people feel supported while organizations remain resilient and future-ready.

Aspiring golfer – Recently taken up golf and enjoying the challenge (even if the swing still needs work).
Soccer devotee – Played for over 15 years and still love watching the game whenever I can.
Sourdough survivor – I once kept my own sourdough starter alive for four months… yes, I am one of those people.

What's a hobby or interest you've always wanted to pursue but haven't had the chance to yet?

Aspiring skier – I’ve never been to the snow and would love to learn how to ski and eventually be good at it.

If you could eat one type of cuisine for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Ocean-to-plate fan – While not a single cuisine, I’d choose fresh seafood every time – light, fresh, and full of flavour.

What's the best piece of career advice you've ever received, and who gave it to you?

Best career advice – “Always map out solutions when discussing problems.” A former mentor shared this with me early in my career, and it’s stayed with me ever since. It helps shift straight into analytical thinking rather than dwelling on the obstacles, which not only makes problem-solving more effective but also builds confidence and keeps conversations future-focused.

If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be?

Skill I’d love to master – Speed reading! My book and article pile would finally stand a chance.

I stay informed through a combination of regulatory updates (Fair Work, Safe Work Australia), professional associations such as AHRI and HRD Australia, which provide research papers, events, and best practice insights, as well as thought leadership from sources like Harvard Business Review, McKinsey, and Deloitte. I also stay connected through webinars, industry forums, and regular collaboration with peers and executive leaders across APAC, ensuring my perspective blends compliance expertise with real-time workforce insights.
