Op 15 november 2024 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.littler.com\/files\/state_of_texas_v._dol.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vernietigde<\/a> de Amerikaanse arrondissementsrechtbank voor het Eastern District van Texas de regelgeving van het Department of Labor (DOL) die de salarisdrempel voor witteboordenvrijstellingen voor overwerk verhoogde met ingang van 1 juli 2024.   <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-803dc801030ac64db345b13ee48b99b4\" style=\"color:#056892\">Belangrijke veranderingen voor werkgevers<\/h3>\n\n<p>De beslissing van de rechtbank heeft twee belangrijke gevolgen:  <\/p>\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>De geplande verhoging van de salarisdrempel op 1 januari 2025 naar $1.128 per week ($58.656 per jaar) zal niet van kracht worden.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De verhoging per 1 juli 2024 naar 844 dollar per week (43 888 dollar per jaar) is ongeldig verklaard.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p>De uitspraak elimineert ook de automatische \"escalator\" bepaling die de drempel elke drie jaar zou hebben verhoogd.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2d5e1c33a3b7f692d828de41b3b899d7\" style=\"color:#056892\">Wat dit betekent voor werkgevers<\/h3>\n\n<p>Als je de salarissen of werknemersclassificaties al hebt aangepast om te voldoen aan de drempel van juli 2024, moet je je volgende stappen misschien zorgvuldig evalueren.
