Contractor Care Specialist


The HR Contractor Care Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day operations and support of contingent and EOR workers across the Southern Europe Region, with a focus on France, delivering an excellent worker experience. The HR Contractor Care Specialist is expected to be self-directed, and client focused and must have in-depth knowledge of local employment law and collective agreements. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, requiring great attention to detail. They will operate with integrity and be responsible for fostering good worker relations. To be effective, the HR Contractor Specialist must be highly organized and detail oriented, with exceptional customer service skills, and able to effectively manage a heavy workload dealing with all HR queries.

  • Verification of New Hire Paperwork
  • Weekly check-ins with New Hires
  • Work collaboratively with all departments
  • Understand the applicability of multiple Collective Labor Agreements especially the Temporary Work (Travail Temporaire: salaries intérimaires) and Portage CLA’s (Portage) and its coexistence and harmonization with the labor laws and other case laws, especially in case of more beneficial labor conditions.
  • Understand country specific legislation in terms of employment law advising on applicability of collective agreements and worker benefits where necessary
  • Adhere to any country specific health & safety and occupational health requirements and updates (i.e. DUERP – Document Unique d’Evaluation des Risques Professionnels) and liaising with external Health and Safety firm on required measures
  • Manage timesheet and working time records
  • Support with visa/work permit applications where permitted
  • Answer day to day employee queries
  • Build relationships with workers to aid in long term employment satisfaction
  • Create/End and Update assignments based on information received from Client Relations Representative
  • Reporting to the French administration of new hires and departures (i.e. DPAE, faire les demandes de créations de comptes dans les outils internes auprès du service informatique, accueillir les nouveaux arrivants et les informer)
  • Manage a workload that evolves around several topics within different country legislation.
  • Represent the company in relation to inspections (CNIT – Conseil National de l’Inspection du Travail, DGT – Direction générale du travail) and compliance requests from the government’s temporary agency registration office
  • Understanding payroll calculations, labor rights and rules in France and other Southern European countries to explain to employees and clients
  • Leading termination calls with workers and negotiating settlement indemnities (i.e. rupture conventionelle, licencement, protocol d’accord conventional, etc)
  • Liaising with Clients and external accountants to manage Worker life-cycle including time tracking, all leaves, maternity, sickness (congés payés, absences, maladie, prévoyance, AT, maternité) and performance issues
  • Liaising, coordinating with the French administration (Direccte – Direction Régionale des Entreprise, de la Concurrence, de la Consommation, du Travail et de l’Emploi, etc) and filing paperwork.
  • Experience in working in temporary work agency (entreprise de travail temporaire – ETT) and portage business ideal.

Skills and experience we value:

  • Experience in service industry; Staffing Services, Payroll Processing, or Human Resources
  • Knowledge and understanding of European labor laws
  • Exceptional customer service skills and demeanor, along with the innovative ability to communicate.
  • Fluency in French with strong verbal and written English skills
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Professional and engaging, with solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to keep up with a very fast-paced environment.
  • University degree in law, economics, or HR, or secondary education degree in HR related fields, or any university degree with 2 years of relevant HR experience, or any secondary education degree with 5 years of relevant HR experience.
  • Certified Payroll Professional or HR Certification an advantage, but not essential.
  • Other languages a plus
