L\u2019un des principaux moteurs de cette tendance est la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des baby-boomers. <\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des baby-boomers a men\u00e9 des d\u00e9cennies de changements politiques et sociaux radicaux, il n\u2019est donc pas surprenant qu\u2019elle contribue aussi \u00e0 transformer la nature de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre en vieillissant. Avec beaucoup atteignant l\u2019\u00e2ge traditionnel de la retraite, une nouvelle forme de retraite \u00e9merge, poussant les baby-boomers \u00e0 explorer de nouvelles fa\u00e7ons de travailler. <\/p>\n<p><strong>5 g\u00e9n\u00e9rations sur le march\u00e9 du travail<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La main-d\u2019\u0153uvre actuelle se compose de cinq g\u00e9n\u00e9rations :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Silent (n\u00e9 entre 1928 et 1945) a en grande partie quitt\u00e9 le march\u00e9 du travail, mais certains y travaillent encore. Les plus jeunes membres de cette g\u00e9n\u00e9ration ont maintenant 72 ans. <\/li>\n<li>Les baby-boomers (n\u00e9s entre 1946 et 1964) atteignent maintenant l\u2019\u00e2ge moyen de la retraite de 65 ans \u00e0 un rythme de 10 000 par jour.<\/li>\n<li>G\u00e9n\u00e9ration X (n\u00e9e entre 1965 et 1980)<\/li>\n<li>Les mill\u00e9niaux (n\u00e9s entre 1981 et 1996) repr\u00e9sentent d\u00e9mographiquement un segment aussi important de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre que les baby-boomers (environ 75 millions) et commencent tout juste \u00e0 atteindre leur rythme professionnel.<\/li>\n<li>La g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Z (n\u00e9e apr\u00e8s 1997) commence tout juste \u00e0 entrer sur le march\u00e9 du travail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Parmi ces cinq g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, les baby-boomers repr\u00e9sentent le segment le plus vaste, le plus instruit et le plus exp\u00e9riment\u00e9. En quittant la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre traditionnelle, leur impact sera \u00e9norme. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Les baby-boomers poussent \u00e0 une nouvelle forme de retraite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il y a cinq ans, en 2011, l\u2019avant-garde des baby-boomers am\u00e9ricains a atteint l\u2019\u00e2ge moyen de la retraite de 65 ans. Le Bureau du recensement des \u00c9tats-Unis calcule qu\u2019en 2020, 55,9 millions de personnes aux \u00c9tats-Unis auront 65 ans ou plus, et d\u2019ici 2030, ce nombre atteindra 72,7 millions. <\/p>\n<p>Par d\u00e9sir ou n\u00e9cessit\u00e9, plusieurs baby-boomers choisiront de rester sur le march\u00e9 du travail, au moins \u00e0 temps partiel. Comme l\u2019a rapport\u00e9 Gallup dans leur rapport \u00ab Beaucoup de baby-boomers r\u00e9ticents \u00e0 prendre leur retraite \u00bb, \u00ab Pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 des baby-boomers qui travaillent encore disent ne pas s\u2019attendre \u00e0 prendre leur retraite avant 66 ans ou plus, y compris un sur dix qui pr\u00e9dit qu\u2019il ne prendra jamais sa retraite. \u00bb <\/p>\n<p>Pourquoi? Il y a plusieurs raisons probables&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><strong>Rester en sant\u00e9 en travaillant plus longtemps<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9tude du Pew Research Center affirme que la plupart des baby-boomers ne se consid\u00e8rent pas vieux avant d\u2019atteindre 72 ans. En cons\u00e9quence, de nombreuses croyances de longue date sur la fa\u00e7on de prendre leur retraite deviennent rapidement d\u00e9pass\u00e9es. <\/p>\n<p>De plus, de nombreux chercheurs sur le vieillissement th\u00e9orisent qu\u2019une vie trop ax\u00e9e sur les loisirs peut en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 favoriser une mauvaise sant\u00e9. Une \u00e9tude de 2014 men\u00e9e par le Rush University Alzheimer\u2019s Disease Center \u00e0 Chicago souligne que vivre une vie avec un but (identifi\u00e9e comme ayant un fort sens du sens, souvent issu d\u2019un emploi r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9 essentiel et\/ou du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat) est tr\u00e8s propice \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction de la susceptibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019AVC, \u00e0 la d\u00e9mence, aux probl\u00e8mes de mouvement, \u00e0 l\u2019invalidit\u00e9 et \u00e0 la mort pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e. Bref, travailler \u00e0 la retraite pourrait \u00eatre l\u2019option la plus intelligente et la plus saine.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>La hausse du co\u00fbt de la retraite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Un autre facteur moins surprenant est que les gens vivent plus longtemps. Nous avons maintenant la dynamique o\u00f9 les gens travaillent dans leur carri\u00e8re principale pendant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 40 ans, puis ils doivent \u00eatre pr\u00eats financi\u00e8rement pour une retraite qui peut facilement durer encore 30 ans.
